New Village Gateway Improvements
You may now have seen that the two brand-new village gates have been installed
Plans are in hand for seasonal planting to highlighte the gates, alterting motorists that they are entering the village and to please drive carefully, whilst also creating an attractive and welcoming approach to Barnham (from Euston).
In addition there are now very clear road markings on the approach to the gateway, together with refreshed roundels along the road: Thank you to our former Suffolk County Councillor Joanna Spicer for organsing this element of the work, funded from her localty budget.
We are extremely grateful to Euston Estate for generously providing the workforce to design and construct and install the gateway, using timber from the estate. Even better, the gates have been designed and constructed crafted by a former pupil of Barnham School.
Thanks also to West Suffolk District Councillor Andrew Smith for providing funding from his locality budget towards the costs, with the balance being met from parish council funds which are raised via the precept, ie from the parish council element of your (Barnham resdients) council tax bills.

Speed data from Barnham's Vehicle Activated Sign available now. Details are currently contained within an excel spreadsheet. Speed data page.
Additional Volunteers to join the Community Speedwatch Team would be very welcome.
